Buchstabieralphabet

Sie sagen Ihren Namen, aber Ihr Gesprächspartner versteht Ihren Namen nicht? Was können
Sie tun? Es gibt ein Buchstabieralphabet für Deutschland: Für jeden Buchstaben sagt man ein
Wort. (Das Wort ist oft ein Vorname.)

Beispiel:
Der Name “Baum” kann so buchstabiert werden:
“B wie Berta” – “A wie Anton” – “U wie Ulrich” – “M wie Martha”
Sie lernen jetzt die Wörter für jeden Buchstaben des Alphabets.

The spelling alphabet

You say your name, but the person you are talking to does not understand it properly?
What can you do?
There is a spelling alphabet in Germany: for every letter there is a word. The word is often a first name.
It is a default alphabet, which is used throughout Germany, especially on the telephone.

Example:
The name “Baum” can be spelled that way:
“B for Berta” – “A for Anton” – “U for Ulrich” – “M for Martha”

You will now learn the words for each letter of the alphabet.
