ZIEL

GOAL

Good view from up here, right?

It’s best to start from the top, that means, with the goal!
Because from up here we have a better overview. We can easily see what is the best way to the top.

Viel Spaß beim Lernen!

First, we will clarify what the communicative goal of this lesson is.

We will learn in “communicative situations“, just like in real life.

Have you ever felt that? You are abroad and people are talking but you don’t understand them? It’s very frustrating, right?

Even worse when other people want to communicate with you. But you don’t understand what they’re saying, and you can’t answer them. Well, that is reality when you live abroad, and you are involved in a new communicative situation for the first time. It is a situation worth preparing for.

“I understand nothing.”

I will introduce you to all my international friends in Germany. Every week, one of my friends will tell you a story at the very beginning, right here at the end.

Here you will find a story or a communicative situation of one of my friends. You are involved in a new communicative situation.

But at first you will understand little or nothing. Because everything is new to you. You do not know the words; you do not understand what my friends are saying, and you won’t be able to answer.

Your goal will be to resume the communicative situation at the end of the chapter and then to actively understand and speak everything. You will master the new communicative situation.
Together we will make it to the top, to the top of the “German-Mountain”.

See you at Base Camp I !
